FAQ

What makes headphones noise canceling?

Noise canceling headphones actually cancel the sound out from the world without making you have to crank the volume of what you are listening to.

How do noise canceling headphones work?

The way that they work is a bit complicated. The shorter version, without all the technical jargon, is that they measure the level of sound that is around you and then mixes them in with what you are listening to so that you don’t notice them.

What is Active Noise Cancellation?

ANC headphones have a button or softkey that turns on a microphone. They are constantly predicting sounds that are around you.

For example, the constant hum of an airplane would be blocked, but not a sudden scream from the baby that is sitting a few aisles up. They work to keep ambient sounds down rather than to stifle them.

Do noise canceling headphones work for snoring?

Unfortunately, you are going to have to continue to use those earplugs. Snoring is not a constant or predictable sound.

Are noise canceling headphones bad for you?

Noise-canceling headphones can be useful and beneficial. You don’t have to turn your music up louder.

We all know that listening to raised volumes can be damaging. These are a great alternative.

Also, being able to create a quiet space, gives your mind a rest. Being able to rest and recharge can lower depression and create well-being.

The Winner Is:

I have chosen the TaoTronics Active Noise Canceling Bluetooth Headphones as my favorite. Not only do I love the function, the comfort, and the ability to use them anywhere, but I also love the price point.

To be fair, they outperformed by the last set. They charge fast. The battery lasts for quite a while. I would like to see a better charger and aux cord, but those are really easy to replace. I can see these being my companions for years to come.

If you don’t like the price point and you want to go for something more budget friendly, then you would like Avantree Active Noise Cancelling Headphones.

They too are a great product, but they aren’t my favorite.
